2012 Summer Reading List for the Prime Minister

by John Daley

30.11.2012 report

Every December Grattan Institute releases a summer reading list for the Prime Minister. It recommends books and articles that the Prime Minister, or any Australian interested in public debate, will find stimulating over the break.

This year’s list covers many important issues, ranging from climate change and bushfires, to how the global economy is changing jobs and cities, to what Australians expect from their government. Focusing on works published in 2012, we selected six good reads that say something interesting about Australia, the world and the future.

ABC presenter Leigh Sales discussed this year’s reading list on a Grattan panel in Melbourne on December 11.
