- You have a minimum of eight years of work experience in the public sector, industry, academia, and/or consulting.
- You have a background in policy analysis, health economics, and/or health service management.
- You have a track record of creative policy problem-solving.
- You have strong research and analytical skills, including familiarity with tools such as R or willingness to learn these tools.
- You have excellent people and project management skills.
- You write and present information well for a broad audience and can speak confidently and appropriately with a wide range of stakeholders.

Grattan Institute is a think tank founded in 2008 to provide independent, rigorous, and practical solutions to some of Australia’s most pressing policy problems. What this role will offer you
- The Health Deputy Program Director will be responsible with the Program Director for leading Grattan’s health work program. Along with other Deputy Program Directors, they will make an important contribution to Grattan’s broader planning, development, and culture.

This is an ongoing, full-time position. As part of our commitment to flexible working, we will consider a range of options for the successful applicant, including remote work. All options can be discussed at the interview stage. The successful applicant will be able to further develop their quantitative, analytical, media and communication skills, supported by some of Australia’s leading experts.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to secure the right person for this role. The salary band starts at $150,000 pa (inclusive of superannuation) with higher remuneration available based on skills and experience.
