Grattan’s work to improve Australia’s health system

The Grattan Institute’s Health Program focuses on three key issues:

1. Prevention. How can we improve life expectancy in Australia, and especially, the number of years Australians live in good health?

2. Access. How can we close the gaps in the health system that mean the needs of some Australians are not being met?

3. Waste. Every person who works in the health sector can point to examples of money misspent. How can we reduce that waste, so the money can be spent on better meeting Australians’ needs?
