- A minimum of five years of work experience in the public sector, industry, academia, and/or consulting
- Experience working in policy development or analysis
- Experience working on health policy for at least one year
- Someone with excellent communication, analytical and research capabilities, and who thrives on complexity
- Strong people and project management skills
- Ability to write and present information well for a broad audience
- Ability to speak confidently and reliably with stakeholders and the media and quickly develop a public profile.
About the role
This is an ideal position for a passionate and motivated individual looking to influence public policy in Australia. This role offers a platform to influence the public debate on Australia’s health system.
Based in Melbourne and reporting to Health Program Director, Peter Breadon, this role is an exciting opportunity to help solve important policy challenges facing Australia’s health system.
You will be joining a great group of people who are intellectually curious, love their work, and are passionate about what they do. We foster a work culture where people are valued and appreciated. We enjoy each other’s company and come together often for our weekly shared lunch, staff book club, and table tennis tournaments.
This is a permanent, ongoing position, based in Melbourne. As part of our commitment to flexible working, we will consider a range of options for the successful applicant to fill the role. All options can be discussed at the interview stage.
