Budget 2024: The Grattan verdict

The 2024 federal Budget comes at a critical time for the nation, in the midst of high inflation and a cost-of-living crisis, and with a federal election on the horizon.

Date: Thursday 16 May

Time: 12 Noon – 1pm AEST

Location: Online

In this special post-Budget Grattan Institute lunchtime webinar event, Grattan CEO Aruna Sathanapally will be joined by a panel of Grattan policy experts to discuss what the Budget means for you and the nation.

Has the government got the balance right in supporting people who are doing it tough, without exacerbating inflation? Does the Budget do enough to help fix the broken housing market and tackle Australia’s structural budget deficit? And will the government’s ‘Future Made in Australia’ investments help or hinder our transition to net-zero emissions?

Aruna and our Grattan panel will guide you through the implications of Budget 2024 and answer your questions.
