Erin-Lea Brown is Deputy Program Director of Grattan Institute’s Economic Prosperity Program. Her work focuses on the economy and fiscal policy.
Erin is a former Treasury economist. Before joining Grattan, she was Director of NSW Treasury’s Structural Analysis and Modelling Branch. She has also held roles in the Commonwealth Treasury and the Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance. Her experience spans macroeconomic forecasting, economic policy, tax and budget policy, and long-term fiscal sustainability analysis.
Erin holds a First Class Honours degree in International Studies and Arts (Politics/Political Economy) from the University of Wollongong. She also has a Masters of Political Economy from the University of Sydney, where she was awarded the Jo Martins Prize in Political Economy.
