Community guidelines

Grattan Institute produces high-quality public policy recommendations for Australia’s future — and good policy starts with good debate. We want our online spaces to be safe places where people with a range of views and experiences can contribute.

We actively monitor comments on all our social media platforms. We welcome questions, contributions, and different perspectives. When engaging with Grattan Institute, please respect our community guidelines.

To keep our community safe and constructive, we reserve the right to remove comments that include:
  • Harassment, abuse, or threats
  • Discriminatory, insulting, offensive, or inflammatory language
  • Personal information or attacks
  • Spam, scams, or promotional content
  • False or misleading information
  • Content that is otherwise inappropriate or not in keeping with respectful discussion

We may also hide or delete comments that are off-topic, and we reserve the right to block or report accounts that repeatedly breach these guidelines.

If you see something that concerns you, report it to the platform, or contact us at [email protected]

Moderation decisions are made at our discretion.

Thanks for helping us keep the conversation constructive.
