Grattan Institute is delighted to announce the opening of its new Sydney office, through a new partnership with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

Housed within the UTS Business School’s Dr Chau Chak Wing Building, Grattan Institute now has a dedicated space for staff to work and hold meetings and events in Sydney. The partnership will provide further opportunities for engagement between the two institutions.

Dr Aruna Sathanapally, CEO of Grattan Institute, said:

‘We are excited to have a new Sydney office for Grattan Institute at UTS Business School. The need has never been greater for clear and impartial analysis of Australia’s problems, and policy solutions that are grounded in facts and evidence. The team at Grattan look forward to having a base for engagement in NSW and the opportunities it provides to further our work.’

Professor Carl Rhodes, Dean of UTS Business School, said:

‘We are delighted to welcome Grattan Institute and their researchers to UTS. The value of independent, evidence-based public policy research in informing how we can make our society more fair and equitable for all members of our communities cannot be understated, and we are thrilled to be working with Grattan Institute to explore novel solutions to some of Australia’s most pressing social and economic challenges.’

The new office and partnership will be celebrated at an invitation-only launch event on Tuesday 18 February 2025.
