The world has committed to decarbonise. Queensland’s resource industry development plan is intended to coordinate how the state will realise the opportunity to be a major global supplier of the minerals that will be needed in the new economy.
This opportunity is based soundly on the comparative advantage represented by the state’s renewable energy and new-economy mineral resources. With some gaps, the draft plan identifies actions that will be taken to realise the opportunity.
