Staff Profile

Kate Griffiths is Grattan Institute’s Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of the Democracy program. Kate has extensive experience in public policy design and analysis and has co-authored more than 20 Grattan reports on democracy, political institutions, budgets and tax, intergenerational inequality, and major economic reforms.

Kate previously worked for The Boston Consulting Group with clients in the energy and health sectors, and in science and research policy for the federal Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research. Kate completed her Master of Science at the University of Oxford as a John Monash Scholar and holds an Honours degree in Science from the Australian National University.
