Australia’s universal health system is world renowned. Yet, there are still problems. A successful universal healthcare system should mean that no person misses out on care because of cost – yet in Australia, many do.

In this special Grattan Institute/State Library Victoria speed briefing event, Grattan’s health policy experts Dr Stephen Duckett and Anika Stobart will discuss their upcoming report Not so universal: How to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare payments.

Stephen and Anika will identify ways governments can reduce the financial barriers to out-of-hospital healthcare services and medications. All you need to know, in just 20 minutes.

Date: Monday 7 March 2022
Time: 12pm – 12.20pm AEDT
